Who Are We...

Welcome to the Track City Orthotics website!

Your feet are the foundation of your body’s support system. They need help to maintain their alignment when the intensity goes up. We want you to walk with comfort and run with confidence!

The average person running a mile takes at least 1000 steps and the average person walking a mile takes at least 1600 steps. If you weigh 150 pounds, walking generates 225 pounds of force-per-foot every time your foot hits the ground. If you are running, it can exceed 900 pounds of force-per-foot. Over one mile that’s a lot of pounds of force-per-foot! It’s no wonder that some studies have suggested as many as 80% of all people need foot support—that’s where Track City Orthotics comes in. Track City Orthotics was started by Eric A. Covely, certified pedorthist, and has been open and treating people since March of 2004. Eric started Track City so that he could provide top-of-the-line materials, information, and care to the people of Eugene. Eric specializes in making custom foot orthotics and custom shoe modifications that help to correct foot, ankle, knee, and lower back problems. Eric personally makes all of the orthotic products right at Track City Orthotics using the highest quality state-of-the-art materials and guarantees every product that he sells. Eric also specializes in service and will work with you until you are completely healthy and fully recovered from your injury, whether you are 3 years old or 103 years old. He accepts recommendations and referrals from doctors and physical therapists as well as walk-ins and limp-ins. House calls and visits to your office are also available upon request.

I have tried a number of different orthotics and I always find two things; 1. I always feel that they are too hard. 2. They always have too much arch for my foot. I imagine problem number 2 would be solved with a custom orthotic. However, I am interested in your take on how hard the orthotic needs to be.

Eric is awesome at making the best orthotics. He made me a pair that included a lift on one for my short right leg. They lasted over 5 years with tons of use. Time to schedule an appointment with Eric to get another pair made.

Great page! How much do you have to pay to feature a commercial website like this one here on Runner Space?
